As much as Ian Stewart did contribute to the stones it was originally Brian’s band. I dont know why Keith insists on calling the band Stu’s band when he did not start the band. Brian formed the group got them their first gig and was the leader for the first few years. Brian Jones is the reason why the Rolling Stones were able to make it as far as they are now. I love Keith but his disrespect towards Brian is awful!
I think that Ronnie Wood is a stand up and genuine man, he always pays respect to Mick Taylor in this video and when mick joined them onstage last year pumping his fist, showing his genuine friendship for mick.
Ian Stuart, for the most part, got sacrificed by management for the band. Even though he was there from the very origins of the group. On every album and on every tour, he was denied being a Stone. It was cool of Keef to remember the contributions Stu gave to their overall success.
I think mick taylor was a very important savor for this band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
24 years ago and their still rockin.
he’s the best musician on the stage, that’s for sure. You’d be uptight if you were standing around a bunch of guys who didn’t like you either. It’s amazing they even got him there during this time. I know they have a better relationship with taylor these days.
Nawww, not really. He’s probably the most uptight and disconnected cat on that stage. One hell of a musician though.

Holy cocaine! xD
From the interviews I’ve seen with Bill. He said that Charlie and himself thought it was a bunch of shit and the reason why they didn’t go is they hated the RR Hall Of Fame because it is to political. That’s too bad. Would have been great to have them show.
Mick Taylor is the coolest mother fucker on that stage.

Hahahahaha @3:03
Whatever Kieth was smoking, I want some of that shit…
thanks for “correcting” my comment and i did not know what kind of illness/cancer Charlie Watts had..”HAD” = KEY WORD!! He is a Shy::: Humble Man..LoVe
I don’t think so…this was back in the late ’80s. Charlie developed throat cancer in 2004, but is thankfully 100% better.
He probably didn’t show up either because (a) he’s too shy to be around all the accolades, or (b) he was still recovering from his brief stint with drugs in the ’80s.
Either way, I’m just so happy they’re all still with us, and hopefully they’ll do some shows to celebrate 50 years!
I’m not hating on Keith, I love keith!!!
Thanks
It is called “Rain Dogs”
Flooding ALL White countries and ONLY White countries with non-Whites and telling everyone to “assimilate” to create a “brown future” is White genocide.
Africa will still be full of Africans
Asia will still be full of Asians.
Only White children will suffer from this.
Read the UN genocide conventions: It is genocide, White Genocide.
They say they are anti-racist. What they are is anti-White.
Anti-racist is a code word for anti-White
This is the best fucking thing I have ever seen
Your a champion mate…thanks
Rain Dogs. From the album Rain Dogs (1985)
Can anybody tell me the name of the song he performs at 9:23
Waits es un genio independientemente de esta tontería del Salón de la Fama.
he’s one of a kind, pure genious – no doubt, no discussion – who will succeed – noone in the horizon – hope he’ll keep on for a long time. Heil Tom W
Ah, yes. Don van Vliet…the late Captain Beefheart. In Frank Zappa’s autobiography he said he got his name because every time they went by the bathroom he’d hold it in his hands and say “It looks like a fine piece of Beefheart”. They destroyed the mold when they cast this cat. RIP
People who get this award always retire. I sure hope Tom doesn’t retire.
Ese hombre sí que tiene alma. <3
¡Maravilloso!
Excellent – glad to see Tom get inducted. Now, how about inducting the guy who INSPIRED Tom Waits, and deservedly SHOULD be inducted – Don van Vliet, aka Captain Beefheart – Tom’s #1 inspiration. To not have Don in the RnR Hall is a complete and utter rip off. Induct the Captain NOW!
un grande
One of the world’s most beautiful people.
He quit smoking!!!
I don’t give a fuck about the hall of fame but one can’t contest the fact that waits is a modern day genius.
what’s 2:17?
never seen kathleen brennan before, she looks kinda like laura dern
What is the clip from at 3:26 where Tom is dancing around playing accordion?
Who was on the Telecaster on the last song?
He’s a genius. And he does not disappoint.
I am glad he got inducted. Like anyone trash talking the Hall of Fame would turn down induction. First you gotta be able to play. Tom Waits is right where he belongs, with his name in lights!
Only person missing that night was Marianne Faithfull, who lived every Tom Waits song. Marianne belongs up there too!
